A trip down memory lane (A decade and six years later)
I visited a campus after sixteen years today. The air brought back memories of which time cannot explain, though they were not much changes as a boy I remember climbing up and down the stairs, the stone walls and coated paint on the walls being stared at for hours waiting endlessly for time to pass by, today sitting inside the same building waiting observing details now as an adult. Only the stone walls, and the floor with the swaying chains, slow moving fan re-winded time clocking back to a waiting period where the same air we breathe, the endless noise, distinct noise, birds flapping their wings, scorching heat, appetite, a dreaming mind, wandering, doodling away awaiting for time to pass by. A six year old boy to a decade and six years later waiting, dreaming, breathing under this mask hiding smiles, tears, emotion in-explainable, the only connect today was with nature and the remains of a memory of what nature was and could have been. the sky was left bare, in silence I heard no pigeon hoot nor did I see any feather remains , the gravel, muddy road to smooth tar under the scorching heat, I sank into the comfortable sofa where my feet could touch the ground, from swaying my legs and holding a little bag pack with biscuits and chips to holding a folder with a resume, and a bible, left dreaming into the endless sky dreaming the impossible. Somewhere lies a futuristic story of a moment of happiness and tears of joy, sound of triumph, laughter, bliss and chaos lying a story untold, unwritten and not dreamt waiting to be told and experienced. Over the years I have lost loved ones, created memories, grown stronger behind a smile and a tear drop, and cries for success in the journey of life awaiting for the perfect success story and true happiness, we keep compromising and pushing away the real time experience to attention of 30-35 seconds on the internet, along the way are stories fading away, memories re-created, captured, and excessively written and stored in our minds re-imagining, hoping, and living a life choosing paths less taken, making decisions, smiling to the beat of a song, a thrill to life, till one can smile without wrinkles, smiling till we have our teeth, reliving memories with a smile on our face remembering our loved ones and their humor and the passage of time of sharing memories of a day to another reliving memories in our conversation with people saving history to add meaning to our present and future .
